The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela has been a member of the ILO since 1919. The country has ratified 54 Conventions, of which 48 are currently in force, including eight of the ten fundamental Conventions.
The ILO team in Venezuela contributes to the promotion of decent work and social justice through technical assistance activities with the country's tripartite partners: government, employers' and workers' organizations.
ILO actions in Venezuela are coordinated from the ILO Office for the Andean Countries.
