Turkmenistan has been a member of the ILO since 1993.
ILO activities in Turkmenistan are coordinated by the ILO Decent Work Technical Support Team and Country Office for Eastern Europe and Central Asia. In Turkmenistan, the ILO ensures that its core priorities and interests, policies and experience are disseminated among key stakeholders.
The mission of the ILO in Turkmenistan is to have a strong, visible, and proactive presence in the country in order to effectively facilitate and support social dialogue between governments, employers’ and workers’ organisations, build partnerships with international institutions – with a purpose of promoting decent work and social justice.
