Guidance and resources for the cooperative, social and solidarity economy
SSE: Statistics
Improving the quality and availability of statistics on cooperatives and the wider social and solidarity economy is essential to quantify the contribution of such entities to their members, users, communities, and both the economy and society at large. Despite their significant role, most countries currently lack reliable and comparable data on these important entities. The International Labour Organization, in collaboration with its constituents and various national and international partners, is actively working to address this data deficiency. It has notably developed guidelines concerning the measurement of cooperatives and a roadmap for developing Guidelines on statistics concerning the social and solidarity economy.
