Jobs measurement and employment impact assessment
This course aims to improve the design and implementation of policies for the creation of decent jobs by building the capacity of all relevant stakeholders to identify, measure and assess the effects on employment of economic, sectoral, trade-related and labour market policies.
Who attends this course?
This course will be of particular interest to:
- Government officials involved in the design and implementation of policies impacting employment, in particular the staff of ministries of labour and employment, economy, planning, education and training;
- Staff of programme-management teams from private-sector entities, non-governmental organizations and community-based organizations;
- Operational staff of international organizations, regional development banks and bilateral donor agencies that design or finance programmes impacting employment.
What is this course about?
The course will teach the competencies needed to make informed decisions about how to measure and evaluate the results of interventions to promote decent jobs for women and men, with focus on vulnerable groups such as youth, rural populations and informal workers.
The content provided will build on the methodologies, tools, and approaches developed by the ILO and its partners to forecast jobs creation and evaluate outcomes.
