ILO agenda and action on fair migration

This document was developed in response to a request from the ILO Screening Group for a discussion on the Office’s actions related to labour migration and proposals for strengthening that work. It outlines the global context and recent trends that have significantly influenced the international migration landscape; summarizes key areas of the ILO’s work and progress, emphasizing its commitment to fair migration in a dynamic and shifting context; and presents measures for further enhancing the ILO’s programme of work on migration and reinforcing its global leadership role, for the consideration and guidance of the Governing Body (see the draft decision in paragraph 57)
