Bahrain
The Kingdom of Bahrain has been a member of the ILO since 1977 and has ratified 10 ILO Conventions, including five of the eight fundamental conventions. In 2010 Bahrain became the first Gulf Cooperation Council nation to adopt a Decent Work Country Programme, the ILO's main three-year vehicle for delivery of support to countries. In August 2016, the ILO and Bahrain prepared a new Decent Work Country Programme with a focus on capacity building for tripartite constituents as well as International Labour Standards, social dialogue, unemployment insurance and protection of migrant workers.
