Agreement was signed by employers' organisations from Cambodia and Nepal, paving the way for future cooperation
The Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FNCCI) and the Cambodian Federation of Employers and Business Association (CAMFEBA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding at the International Labour Conference in June 2025

Geneva, June 2025 – In a significant step towards enhancing regional business cooperation, the Cambodian Federation of Employers and Business Associations and the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the sidelines of the 113th International Labour Conference.

The MoU outlines a broad framework for collaboration between the two national employers' organizations, with the goal of fostering stronger economic and business ties between Cambodia and Nepal. Areas of cooperation under the agreement include:
- Exchange of best practices on employment, labour laws, labour market information, the transition to formality for economic units and workers, the status of Least Developed Countries, and enterprise development.
- Joint efforts in training and research, including the co-hosting of programmes and recommending resource persons to support mutual capacity building in both countries.
- Investment facilitation, by establishing links between potential investors and offering, upon request, tailored fee-based advisory services to promote direct investment.
- Support for business-to-business (B2B) engagement, aimed at enabling members of both organizations to explore new commercial opportunities.
The agreement was signed by the Presidents of both organizations in the presence of the Honourable Minister of Labour, Employment and Social Security of Nepal and His Excellency Mr. Ram Prasad Subedi, Permanent Representative of Nepal to the United Nations Office in Geneva.

This new partnership reflects a growing recognition of the role of employers’ organizations in driving regional economic integration, enterprise development, and employment generation. It also underscores the value of platforms such as the International Labour Conference for fostering meaningful international collaboration among employers.
